Finally, the LFA playoffs are here and we could not start in a better way, a huge match is coming up. The Raptors will host the Dinos to conclude a physically challenging trilogy that has been dominated by the "green fury". Their first meeting of the season came at week 2 in an impressive game ruled by an aerial circus and an astonishing Raptors comeback that stands as the greatest in the young league's history. That day the scoreboard finished 34-27 in a high scoring and exciting match that became an instant classic.

The next time they faced-off (week 7), the Raptors took away the win again in a much more defensive game that ended with a score of 19-6. It was not easy for the Raptors to visit Saltillo and deal with such a demanding task as the Dinos. However, it was an opportunity for both teams to get to know each other better. We need to remember that this match took place just a couple weeks ago, so they are very familiar to the strategies that each of them is offering. For that reason, the game plan and the two-week preparation is going to be fundamental to minimize mistakes and take advantage of the enemy miscues.

In this occasion what is at stake is no less than the ticket to the Tazón Mexico II (TMII) itself. The Raptors will need to rely on their potent attack whereas on the ground or on the air, and capitalize on their red-zone trips. That was one of the main issues that plagued their season, but they have a bunch of spectacular playmakers to make up for it. Specially their speedy running backs and their high reliable wide recievers. The Dinos defense is going to be extremely busy if they want to keep pace with that kind of offense.

On the other hand, the Dinos offense must replicate the success that they had on the first half of the Week 2 game. Their aerial game was extremely explosive and they made a good use of the blown coverages by the Raptors defense. However, this time is not going to be that easy because the Raptors' defense has become one of the stingiest units in the league and they tend to steal balls in a regular basis. Expect this to be a close game in which the defenses are going to have a lot of work. The loser faces extinction in the 2017 LFA season, the winner is going to face either Mayas or Eagles in the highly anticipated TMII.
