NYG vs DAL week 1 : Cowboys revenge

Dallas offense look strong,the lone star team showed a balanced offense, with Dak Prescott (4) as srtarting QB and second year Ezekiel Elliot as RB. Passing and running game seemed functional, by the end of the first half cowboys were up by 16 points.

Dallas defense, with a renewed  secondary DB was able to keep  Giants offense with only 3 points. The renewd defense did their job.

In the other side of the ball, Eli Manning had his 200th straight game a starter. Althought they had problems stablishing their offense, also, Odell Beckham Jr was out for an injury in the ankle.  In 2016 season, they won the serie 2-0 aginst the cowboys. But this time they had more problems in the oppening game. Just in the first half Eli Manning had 33 passing yards.

In the second half, the Giants made some adjustements, but they were stopped in the first drive of the second half and scored a FG and those were the only points in the scoreboard.

Giants WR had problems in having separations with the Cowboys defensive backs, so Eli Manning could not find them. And in the 4th quarter  Eli had an interception and no more points. The final score 19-3

With the result of this games seems that the NFC East will be competitive for consecutive season.  Bit after watching playing the Eagles and the Redskins play, I predict that the giants will have a difficult time in the divition.

Raptors Get Back on Track After Beating Fundidores

This time, the show was in charge of the Raptors and the Monterrey Fundidores. The last time these teams met, the Fundidores won by one point and the Raptors were looking forward to take revenge in this match. The first productive series came from the Fundidores side commanded by N. 12, Roberto Vega, who marched down the field with poise and making connections with WR Luis de la Torre, N. 14,mixing well with short runs by Alberto Espinosa, N. 33. The Raptors defense looked lost and committed key penalties  –  offside and pass interference  –  that allowed the Fundidores to continue with the possession of the ball. Fundidores are Eliminated after Hosting Mayas in Last Week of LFA, Regular Season

Mayas 33-14 Fundidores Fundidores were eliminated in the last game for them in LFA Mexican football league, 2nd season. They said goodbye with a 2-5 record that leave the northern mexican city unhappy about the results during the season. On their  travel to Mexico City, the Mayas showed why they are the best football team until now. They finished with a 1-6 record. Only losing against the Eagles in week 1. After that, all has been wins for the Mayas, and this afternoon was not the exception. Mayas started strong, in the  first drive, Marco García QB, N. 12, found Josué Martínez, N. 81, for a TD.  In the second quarter, the advantage increased with a 18-yards TD with a pass to Raul Ríos and, afterwards, Josué Martinez scored again. The game was 20-0 for the visitors. Part of the importance of this result was that Mayas showed a strong secondary defense, since they neutrailized the best Fundidores
